Why Sine Kerr Is the Right Choice for Lieutenant Governor
An Arizona farmer, former state senator and grandmother brings experience, authenticity and rural representation to Andy Biggs’ ticket.

This November, Arizona voters will have the opportunity to make history by electing a governor and, for the first time, a lieutenant governor. I applaud Andy Biggs’ decision to select former state Sen. Sine Kerr as his running mate.
For those unfamiliar with Kerr, she is a Buckeye dairy farmer who represented communities in Maricopa and Yuma counties during her time in the Legislature. She is also a wife, mother and grandmother of 12.
Kerr embodies the determined, independent spirit that has made Arizona such a remarkable place to live. As a business owner, devoted family woman and steadfast advocate for Arizona agriculture, she represents a vital part of our state: its farmers, ranchers and rural communities. Their way of life is essential to Arizona but too often overlooked by leaders who do not understand it.
Ask Arizona farmers or ranchers about Sine Kerr, and many will speak warmly about her family and its deep roots in the agricultural community.
But I know Sine primarily not as a farmer or legislator, but through Arizona’s hunting community. I have seen her generosity and commitment to ensuring future generations can experience our state’s time-honored hunting traditions.
Every September 1, Sine opens her farmland to dove hunters awaiting the first light of opening day. I have participated in this event. Fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, newcomers and seasoned hunters gather to enjoy the outdoors, share the experience and create memories that will be retold at family gatherings for years.
In an era increasingly dominated by individualized entertainment, this event is a welcome return to shared traditions. It exists because Sine made the deliberate effort to work with the Arizona Game and Fish Department and open her land for others to enjoy.
For Sine, it is about passing down a tradition and preserving a heritage—not only for her own family, but for other Arizona families as well.
That is why I am excited to see Sine Kerr selected for lieutenant governor. She understands the importance of protecting Arizona’s traditions, bringing people together and preserving responsible government for the next generation.
