A sunny, bright Monday.
Excited for the day ahead, I found myself with an hour to spare and decided to call my folks back in the Midwest. My dad and I chatted for a while, and I mentioned I was heading to AmFest in Phoenix. “AmericaFest,” I explained, is the annual celebration of American values and patriotism - a shared value that always connected us.
An hour later, I arrived at the Phoenix Convention Center. As I walked up, I met Christy Kelly, who was collecting signatures for her run on the Arizona Corporation Commission. We briefly bonded over our shared ties to the West Valley and politics. In July, she joined me on my podcast to discuss the upcoming primary election.
Today, driven by a shared passion for delivering unbiased and unfiltered news, Kelly and I are joining forces to launch The State 48 News, combining our unique perspectives and experiences to provide Arizona with honest, in-depth storytelling that informs and inspires.
